Sounds cliche, right? A 'fresh start' or 'new beginning'. I'm not really sure what else to do, though. I seem to have got myself in a nasty rut over the whole of winter,  taking lots of photos, putting them on the laptop, only to not have the inspiration to edit them. Then when I do go to edit them, end up disregarding them and throwing them away thinking they're not up to the standard I usually take. So this past week or so I decided to have a complete break, re evaluate everything and not even worry about picking up the camera. It seems to have helped a lot and today when I finally decided to pick up my Canon again, I felt inspired, in some ways how I used to feel when I very first started taking photos.


I also decided on a kind of "impulse" to dye my hair brown.   I've had it blonde for a while (it is naturally anyway, I'd just been lightening it a few shades) but it's never been the shade I wanted it to be. No matter how much I coloured it, the ends seemed to want to stay dark blonde, the fringe yellow blonde and the very front and roots white blonde. It's safe to say it looked awful, and in the end even toner didn't help! So for now, brown! I will probably take a new self portrait over the weekend.


Also I'd like to quickly say thank you to a few people who are always here to say such lovely things about my work, or just to chat to in general.

I'm hoping, fingers crossed, this lasts and I can feel inspired again like I used to.
